WHAT ID/DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FROM ME TO HIRE A VEHICLE?

You will need a current driving license, (if the old paper sort you will need your passport as well) both will require DVLA check code or your National insurance number.
WE WILL REQUIRE A FURTHER 2 FORMS OF ID, i.e.
2 x current utility bills (not more than 3 months old) with your current home address that matches your driving license (Current utility bills, gas, electric, water, phone, bank or credit card statement, council tax or passport).                                                                                                                                                                  If using the a van to move house, You will need Proof of Address for the new property (i.e. mortgage offer, tenancy agreement, estate agent letter, solicitor letter)

WHAT IS A CURRENT UTILITY BILL?

Current utility bills not more than 3 months old can be a Gas Bill, Electric Bill, Water Bill, Phone or Mobile Phone Bill, Council Tax Bill, Bank Statement, Credit card Statement, it will not matter if it is in joint names as long as it matches your driving license.

WHAT IS NOT A CURRENT UTILITY BILL AND NOT ACCEPTABLE AS ID.?

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT your car or van insurance, your car or van registration document, pension plan, TV License, Junk mail, invoices and receipts.

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY DOCUMENTS EACH TIME?

Yes, each rental is a completely separate agreement and the same due diligence must be completed each time.

WHEN I BOOK WILL I NEED TO PAY?

No, payment will be on the day of rental. The payment and deposit will need to be paid on a card on collection, however a booking fee may be taken on minibuses or MPVs.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept most major credit and debit cards. Sorry, Unfortunately We Cannot Accept Cheques, American Express or Cash.

CAN I USE SOMEONE ELSE’S CARD TO PAY?

No, all retail hire agreements and liability is with the sole renter and the payment card must be in their name.

CAN I DO THE PAPERWORK THE DAY BEFORE?

No, the paperwork must be completed at the point of taking the vehicle hire. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes providing you have the correct paperwork and all the relevant information to hand.

CAN WE TAKE THE RENTAL ABROAD?

No, We are currently not able to provide hire outside mainland UK.

CAN I GUARANTEE A MAKE OR MODEL?

No, unfortunately there are to many variables that could affect the logistics of doing this.

WHAT TYPE OF LICENCE DO I NEED TO DRIVE/HIRE A MINIBUS?

Your Driving License needs to include Category D1, and the driver will need to be over 30 and under 70 YOU CAN NOT USE THEM FOR HIRE AND REWARD IE, RECEIVING PAYMENT TO DRIVE IF SO, YOU WOULD NEED A PSV LICENCE AND DIFFERENT INSURANCE.

DO YOU DELIVER AND COLLECT?

No, For retail hire transactions the vehicle must be collected and returned to us.

DO YOU HAVE CUSTOMER PARKING?

Yes, We will advise where you can park and parking is at owners risk.

CAN WE TAKE PETS IN THE VEHICLE?

NO.

CAN THERE BE MORE THAN ONE DRIVER IF NEEDED?

Yes, although we must see all the drivers and their driving license a DVLA check code or their National Insurance number and 2 x current utility bill with their current home address an additional charge will be applied, AS THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT FAILURE TO DO SO WILL INVALIDATE YOUR INSURANCE.

CAN I EXTEND THE HIRE PERIOD IF NEEDED?

Only if it is available and you let us know before the original hire period expires so the insurance remains valid.
You will also be required to pay any additional costs at the time of extension.

WILL THERE BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE AT THE END OF THE HIRE PERIOD?

Only if the vehicle requires, Fuel, Cleaning and valeting, Is returned damaged, Missing anything, Excess miles, or if we receive notification of any motoring or parking offences etc after the vehicle has been returned.
